Custom Wooden Texture Kitchen Cabinet & Foyer Partition Design
Kitchen Story Sdn. Bhd. completed this custom kitchen cabinet and foyer partition project at The Arena, Arena Curve, Bayan Lepas, Penang. The client wanted a clean, practical and warm-looking carpentry design with a natural wooden texture kitchen cabinet and a custom partition to separate the foyer from the living area.
The final design uses a light wood tone with white accents to create a bright, simple and comfortable home interior. The partition also works as a decorative display feature, helping to improve privacy between the entrance and living space without making the area feel closed or heavy.

Design Concept
The design direction is modern natural wood with clean white contrast. The kitchen cabinet uses a warm wooden texture to make the space feel more welcoming, while the white countertop and white partition display boxes help maintain a bright and lightweight look.
The foyer partition was designed as a semi-open divider. Instead of building a full solid wall, we used vertical timber-style strips and white display boxes to create visual separation while still allowing light and airflow through the space. This makes the entrance area more presentable and gives the living area better privacy.
Design Challenges
The first challenge was separating the foyer from the living area without making the home feel smaller. A full-height solid partition would have blocked too much light and made the entrance area feel narrow.
The second challenge was improving kitchen storage within a compact layout. The corner area of an L-shape kitchen can easily become wasted space if it is not planned properly.
The third challenge was keeping the design simple while still making the partition look like a design feature, not just a divider.
Our Solution
We proposed a semi-open custom partition using vertical wood-texture strips and white display shelves. This creates a visual boundary from the foyer to the living area while keeping the space open, bright and comfortable.
For the kitchen, we used a practical L-shape layout with a wooden texture finish, white countertop and proper internal storage planning. The corner cabinet was improved with a pull-out corner basket to make the hard-to-reach area easier to use.
Soft-closing hinges and drawer systems were selected to improve daily usage, reduce door impact and support long-term cabinet performance.
Final Outcome
The completed project at The Arena, Arena Curve, Bayan Lepas, Penang delivers a clean, practical and modern home carpentry solution. The wooden texture kitchen cabinet gives the home a warm and natural feel, while the custom foyer partition improves privacy and adds a decorative feature to the entrance area.
This project is suitable for homeowners looking for custom kitchen cabinet, wooden texture kitchen design, foyer partition, display partition, L-shape kitchen cabinet and built-in carpentry services in Arena Curve, Bayan Lepas and Penang.
