Primer + Polyaspartic Membrane – The Complete System
Many waterproofing products claim to be "all-in-one." But here is the truth: a high-performance polyaspartic membrane is only as good as what is underneath it.
That is why our system includes two essential layers:
1. Specialized Primer (adhesion layer)
2. 100% Solids Polyaspartic Membrane (waterproof barrier)
Why Do You Need a Primer?
Three specific jobs the primer does:
1. Bonds to difficult substrates – Concrete, steel, aluminum, and wood all have different surface energies. The primer bridges the gap so the polyaspartic membrane locks on.
2. Seals porosity – Raw concrete is full of microscopic air pockets. Without primer, the membrane absorbs unevenly, creating weak spots where water finds a path.
3. Prevents outgassing blisters – Temperature changes cause trapped air in concrete to expand. Primer blocks that air from pushing up under your membrane.
þ Skipping primer is the #1 cause of polyaspartic waterproofing failure. We do not sell it separately for a reason – the system only works as a complete package.
Advantages vs. Common Waterproofing Methods
Epoxy is cheaper but fails outdoors. Acrylic lets vapor through. Bitumen is messy and UV-sensitive. Polyurethane lacks chemical resistance.
Our primer + polyaspartic system is the only one that gives you all six: UV stability, speed, flexibility, chemical resistance, wide temp application, and true waterproofing.
Application Areas:
Roof decks & balconies, parking garage, industrial flooring, water treatment plants, toilet, kitchen
