PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Nippon Paint Timbershade is a high-performance, water-based acrylic pigment emulsion paint specifically formulated for the decoration and protection of wood and galvanized iron surfaces. Unlike traditional varnishes, Timbershade is an opaque coating that provides a solid, long-lasting color while remaining highly flexible. This flexibility allows the paint film to expand and contract with the substrate, preventing cracking and peeling. It is enhanced with UV-resistant pigments and anti-fungus properties, making it an ideal choice for exterior surfaces such as wooden fences, fascia boards, roof trusses, and gate grills. It is an environmentally friendly "Green Choice" product with low VOC and low odor.

RECOMMENDED COATING SYSTEM
For Wood Surfaces:
For Galvanized Iron / Metal Surfaces:
SURFACE PREPARATION
- General Cleaning: Surfaces must be structurally sound, dry, clean, and free from dirt, grease, oil, and loose matter.
-
Wood Surfaces: Sand the surface along the grain using Grade #240 or #320 sandpaper to remove loose fibers and splinters. Wipe off all dust. Ensure wood moisture content is below 12%.
-
Metal Surfaces: For galvanized iron, ensure the surface is degreased and free from white rust. For rusted mild steel, wire brush to St 3 and apply an anti-corrosive primer before Timbershade.
-
Previously Painted Surfaces: Remove all loose, flaking, or defective paint. Sound existing coatings should be lightly sanded to provide a mechanical key.
-
Biological Treatment: Treat areas affected by fungus or algae with Nippon Paint Fungicidal Wash and rinse thoroughly with water.
