Application Instructions

• Application Method: Brush, Roller, Compressed Air Spray, or Airless Spray.

• Mixing: This is a two-pack product. Mix the base and hardener thoroughly according to the prescribed ratio before application.

• Dilution: Use Nippon Paint PU Recoatable Thinner. Do not exceed recommended thinning percentages to ensure proper film build and protection.

• Cleaning: All tools and equipment should be cleaned with PU Thinner or a suitable aromatic solvent immediately after use.

• Note: Ensure adequate ventilation during application. Avoid painting when humidity is high or if rain is expected shortly after application.

Recommended Coating System

• Primer: EA9 Red Oxide Primer or equivalent solvent-based primer (depending on substrate).

• Intermediate (Optional): Hi-Ponyl AD High Build (for enhanced thickness).

• Finishing (1-2 Coats): Nippon Paint PU Recoatable Lite Finish.

• Note: Solvent-based topcoats must be applied over compatible solvent-based primer systems for optimal adhesion and performance.

Surface Preparation

• General Cleaning: Surfaces must be structurally sound, dry, and free from oil, grease, dirt, and other contaminants.

• Metal Surfaces: For steel, ensure the surface is properly primed. For galvanized iron or aluminum, ensure the surface is etched or applied with a suitable wash primer before the main primer coat.

• Rust Removal: All rust must be removed via wire brushing or power tool cleaning to a minimum standard of St 2 or Sa 2.5 for maximum durability.

• Previous Coatings: Ensure existing coatings are stable and well-adherent. Lightly sand aged coatings to provide a mechanical key for the new finish.

• Dryness: The substrate must be completely dry before application to prevent adhesion failure or blistering.
