PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Nippon Paint 9000 Aluminium Paint is a high-quality, solvent-based metallic coating specifically formulated for use on both wood and metal surfaces. It features premium leafing aluminium pigments that create a brilliant, lustrous metallic finish with excellent light and heat reflectivity. This paint provides a durable protective barrier against weathering and corrosion, making it ideal for storage tanks, bridges, pipework, and various industrial or domestic steel structures. Beyond its protective qualities, it is often used for its aesthetic "bright silver" appearance on decorative wood and metal gates, grills, and fences.

Application Instructions
-
Application Method: Apply using a high-quality Brush, Roller, or Conventional Air Spray.
-
Dilution: Stir the paint thoroughly before use to ensure even distribution of aluminium flakes. For brush and roller, thin with maximum 5% thinner only if necessary. For spray, thin with 10% - 15% Nippon General Purpose Thinner.
-
Cleaning: Clean all tools and equipment with Nippon General Purpose Thinner or Turpentine immediately after use.
-
Note: Do not over-brush or over-roll, as this can disturb the "leafing" effect of the aluminium pigments, leading to an uneven metallic appearance.

Surface Preparation
-
General Cleaning: Surfaces must be dry, clean, and free from dirt, grease, oil, and wax.
-
Metal Surfaces: Remove all rust, mill scale, and loose matter by wire brushing or sanding to a clean finish (St 2 or Sa 2.5). Degrease the surface with a suitable solvent before priming.
-
Wood Surfaces: Sand the surface along the grain to remove loose fibers and splinters. Wipe off all dust before application.
-
Previously Painted Surfaces: Remove all loose or peeling paint. For surfaces in good condition, lightly sand to provide a mechanical key for better adhesion and wipe clean.
-
Conditioning: Ensure the substrate is completely dry. Moisture trapped under the aluminium film can lead to oxidation and loss of luster.
