Descriptions
The Milwaukee® 360° Pocket Level offer users a compact, yet heavy duty alternative to current protractors and angle finders, while also functioning as a traditional pocket level for quick checks. Amplified Rare Earth Magnet Technology utilizes magnetic circuits to redirect and focus the magnetic field for industry-leading holding power. Providing functionality similar to a protractor, a Locking 360° Adjustable Vial secures the vial in place so users can identify and repeat any angle needed. A locking screw protects the accuracy of the vial whether it’s taken in and out of pockets or pouches. SHARPSITE™ Vial Technology magnifies the bubble so it’s easier to read, and the vial is engineered with high-impact acrylic for ultimate durability that will protect accuracy over the life of the level.
One of the most important features of any level is the accuracy. We typically go for levels that give us 0.0005″/1″, though smaller levels can drop below it. That’s the case with the Milwaukee Pocket Level with accuracy at 0.005″/1″.
However, the defining feature that Milwaukee gives you is a locking dial that can rotate 360°. Angles markings are in 2° increments on one side and specific points for 15°, 22.5°, 45° and 75° on the other. A locking screw holds the dial in place so that it won’t reset as you put it in or take it out of your pocket. About the only other thing you might ask for is positive stops, but this isn’t a miter saw.
Milwaukee includes its SharpSite vial design, which magnifies the bubble so that it is easier to read. It’s one of the easiest vials to read, short of help from LED lights that some newer models get. However, we haven’t seen anyone put them on a pocket level yet
Milwaukee combines cast aluminum construction for the body of the level with a high-impact acrylic for the vial. Milwaukee doesn’t promise this, but I reckon you could run this level over with your truck and it wouldn’t matter all that much. It’s a really solid build. Milwaukee backs it with a limited lifetime warranty, though we’re pretty sure running it over will void that.
In addition, Milwaukee incorporates Amplified Rare Earth Magnet Technology, which uses magnetic circuits to focus the magnetic field, providing improved holding power. With just one magnet point, it’s an effective way to go.
