Description
ASG Stopping Compound (20kg/pack) is a plaster-based compound designed for flushing and finishing joints of plasterboard. It can also be used as a putty for touch-ups on fibrous plasterboard, delivering a smooth, fine finish when applied with a steel trowel.

Direction to use
- Ensure plasterboard surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or loose material.
- Mix compound with clean water until a smooth, lump-free paste is formed.
- Apply the first coat over joints using a steel trowel or jointing knife.
- Embed joint tape into the wet compound, press firmly, and smooth out excess.
- Allow to dry completely before applying the next coat.
- Apply additional layers as needed, feathering edges for a smooth transition.
- Sand lightly after drying to achieve a fine, smooth finish.
- Clean tools with water immediately after use.
Mixing
- Fill container with clean water.
- Sprinkle the stopping Compound into the water. (Approx. 2 parts of compound to 1 part of water).
- Allow to soak for 1 to 3 minutes before mixing.
- Mix to a smooth creamy workable consistency.
- The mixtures is now ready for use.
- Do not over mix otherwise it will accelerate setting of the mixture.
Storage
- Store Stopping Compound at room temperature in a cool dry location.
- Allow free flow of air, stack on pallet.
- Keep away from direct exposure to sunlight.
