Our approach to rat problems is quite simple – traps and proofing/exclusion.
Traps are used to catch and dispose of rats that have gained entry into our premises while proofing is to prevent them from entering our premises.
Solving a rat problem may not be as simple because rats are good survivors. They adapt well to a new environment and sometimes are shy to baits and traps. Sometimes we have to deploy a night-vision camera to help in our inspection.
An intelligent-tracking camera can help locate rodent entry points, show a catch, and deploy personnel to dispose of the trap within 24 hours.
Do we use poison? Yes, only as a last resort. Why not use poison in the first place when it can kill rats for sure? Because rats can die in places difficult to access and occupants have to endure the horrible smell of dead rats. Also, poison can cause resistance (immune) among rats and accidental poisoning to non-target animals.
