Kitchen Story Sdn. Bhd. completed this modern kitchen cabinet and interior design project at Platinum III Condominium, Teluk Kumbar, Bayan Lepas, Penang. The project was designed with a clean, modern, and functional concept, using a dark grey cabinet colour palette with warm wood texture surfaces to create a stylish but practical kitchen space.

The project scope included interior design for the kitchen cabinet, custom kitchen cabinet fabrication, island cabinet with seating space, Kompact Plus compact top, BLUM soft-closing hinges, BLUM soft-closing drawer system, wall partition with hidden door, solid plywood structure, and high pressure laminate finishing.

The kitchen cabinet was finished with matt dark grey laminate doors and panels, giving the space a clean and contemporary look. To balance the darker cabinet tone, the countertop was completed with Kompact Plus compact top in 6mm thickness with wood texture surface finishing. This created a warmer visual effect while maintaining a slim and modern countertop profile.

A key feature of this project is the island cabinet with seating space, designed to function as a preparation counter, breakfast area, casual dining space, and additional storage. The island improves the kitchen’s usability while creating a stronger lifestyle element within the condominium.

Instead of using a standard stone-look countertop, the project uses Kompact Plus compact top with wood texture surface, giving the kitchen a warmer and more design-focused appearance.

The island cabinet was designed as a multifunctional feature. It provides extra working surface, additional storage, and seating space, making the kitchen more suitable for casual dining and daily interaction.

The wall partition with hidden door improves the visual flow of the living area. Instead of making the doorway look obvious, the hidden door is integrated into the wall panel design using solid plywood and high pressure laminate finishing.
