Kohaku Koi House Sdn Bhd, the No. 1 koi specialist retail outlet in J.B is located within Taman Johor Industrial Area, near Taman Bukit Kempas – a short 10 minutes drive from Setia Tropika or Angsana Shopping Mall and 20 minutes from Horizon Hills.
We offer koi hobbyists wide range of imported koi (variety, quality and size) from renowned Japanese farms like Ogata, Dainichi and Sakai. Each year we import between 8 to 10 shipments koi from Japan and make several trips to hand-pick koi. Our koi have won many prizes in major Koi competitions in Malaysia, Singapore and Europe.
We carry full range koi food, pond accessories, service koi ponds and attend to house calls to treat sick koi. A major part of our activities is devoted to design and build koi ponds placing emphasis on building efficient and effective filtration system.
In total, we have 31 concrete ponds within a 8,100 sq ft in-door set-up. Quarantine and treatment ponds are built isolated and several ponds dedicated as Koi Hotel for customers’ koi.

Our journey started in year 2006
Back-track to 2003 when we started a huge koi farm in Tanjong Sedili, Johor, 45 minutes drive from Kota Tinggi town.
As part of our marketing effort for the koi farm, the present Taman Johor retail outlet was set up in July 2006 selling both koi from the farm and imported from Japan.
Around 2007, koi exportation from Malaysia to Europe was banned for a year by the European Union. December 2009, we decided to shut down Tanjong Sedili farm and continue with this retail outlet, promoting exclusively koi imported from Japan.
Our progress
From our humble beginning in 2006 selling koi, we soon embark on designing and building koi ponds, more new and better pond accessories were added to complement our koi pond activities. As koi pond requires regular servicing just like a motor vehicle, we soon started maintenance and service of koi ponds for our customers. And we have been popular!
Koi Hotel to accommodate customers’ koi at our retail outlet and house calls to treat customer’s sick koi were also added. Soon we became a one-stop location for koi.

HDPE timber is now popular in the market as an alternative to natural wood. This natural wood look-alike is suitable for koi pond filter covers, decking and garden fencing.
